Intermediate Middle School Strength & Conditioning Camp

Intermediate Middle School Strength & Conditioning Camp

athletic development campThis is a new program from Sterling Physical Therapy for PCSD 7th & 8th graders (to be), boys and girls.

The camp will be offered at the Pella High School from 3-4 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays through the summer.

The camp will run from Monday 6.10.2013 until Thursday 8.8.2013.

The camp is designed for the middle school athlete who seeks more instruction in speed development and safe/appropriate weight training that develops the total athlete. Athletes will be screened for the appropriate level of training initially and will receive progress reports at the 4 week and 8 week mark of key performance measures.

The camp will be administered by Coach Preston West, of Sterling Physical Therapy, along with three S&C interns. Coach West runs the Pella High School Strength & Conditioning program and all instruction will set up campers for success in the high school program. barbell

Safety with Strength & Conditioning is always a concern at any level but can be more of a concern at the middle school level. The program is overseen by Travis Sterling PT,OCS,CSCS, who brings three different perspectives to the table for this program: those of a physical therapist, strength coach and board certified orthopaedic clinical specialist. This unique perspective along with the results Coach West has produced at Pella High School will provide the best environment for your athlete to achieve their goals.

Discounted price for PCSD is $300 per athlete.

Individual written progress reports at the 4th and  8th week will be provided.

Each camper will get a camp t shirt (order placed once numbers/sizes determined).

* The week of July 4th will be a vacation week for those with plans.
* Sterling will make adjustments to camp duration, intensity and performance as appropriate base on weather conditions. (We can’t control the weather).
* We encourage campers to bring water or Gatorade to each camp session along with a towel.

Please send payment  to Sterling Physical Therapy along with the name of your child and emergency contacts. Each camper’s guardian will need to complete an waiver prior to participation in the camp. Waivers are available at Sterling Physical Therapy.
