Join the Amazing Race in Pella
Sterling Physical Therapy is excited to announce our sponsorship of the Amazing Race event happening March 18 in Pella. This challenge for area teens (6th grade to high school) is being organized by the Pella Aquatic Center, the Pella Art Center, and the Pella Public Library.
Bringing the Amazing Race to Pella
The Pella edition of the Amazing Race is similar to the nationally syndicated reality television game show, with Pella Pella teens participate in challenges involving swimming, an obstacle course, art, Dutch Dancing, and the public library. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010.
The race will host ten teams of two, with registration being accepted at the Community Services Office. The office can be reached at 641-628-4571 on Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An entrance fee of $5 per team will be required and a permission slip must be signed before participating in the race.
Supporting well-being in the community
Given our previous sponsorships and promotion of triathlons, races, and overall healthy living, getting involved with this event was an easy choice for the clinic.
“Sterling Physical Therapy is committed to the community, and particularly interested in any activities that promote good health. When we were contacted to be part of this event, promoting good health with young people, it was a no brainer,” shared Travis Sterling, owner of Sterling Physical Therapy.
Katie Dreyer, Youth Services Librarian at Pella Public Library, shared her excitement about having Sterling Physical Therapy as a sponsor.
“We are very happy that Sterling has agreed [to] be a sponsor. Physical therapy is associated with getting up, moving and staying active,” said Dreyer. “By joining forces with the Aquatic Center, Art Center and Library, we are able to bring a fun, challenging program to Pella middle school and high school students during Spring Break.”
